The front windows of a Greggs store in Ruislip were smashed by vandals over the weekend.

Police were called to the shop in Field End Road at around 6.40am on Sunday (January 8) after reports of criminal damage.

At the scene officers found the windows and doors of the shop had been smashed, but there was no evidence of any attempt to enter the premises.

The vandals are believed to have used a blunt instrument to cause the damage .

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to reports of a criminal damage to a shop at Field End Road, Ruislip at 6.38am on Sunday, January 8.

“The windows and doors had been smashed.”

No arrests have currently been made but the Met Police said enquiries are ongoing.
