A man has died after being struck by a train at Greenford Underground station.

British Transport Police , which attended the station just after 12pm on Wednesday (July 19) along with paramedics, said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said it is working on contacting the victim's next of kin.

A spokesman for the BTP said: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

"A file will be prepared for the coroner."

Railway services were temporarily suspended while emergency services attended the incident, with National Rail confirming trains were running as normal between Greenford and West Ealing at 2.45pm.
