Greenford Road was closed after a motorbike collided with a van.

The Metropolitan Police said a male pillion passenger, who was involved in the incident in Greenford, at around 9am, was taken to hospital.

London Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

Police appeal for witnesses

The Metropolitan Police have appealed for information regarding this morning’s collision.

A spokesman from the police said: “The male pillion passenger was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The rider left the scene prior to police arrival.

“ Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating”

Police comment on incident

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly before 09:00hrs on Friday, 4 August to reports of a collision between a van and motorcycle on Greenford Road in Ealing.
“Officers attended. The male rider was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“Road closures are in place.”
