A man accused of stabbing a young carpenter to death in Ealing has appeared in court and could face trial in September.
Alex Azadbakht appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday (April 4), charged with the murder of Rory Anderson.
The 25-year-old, of Evesham Close, Greenford , was remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing at the court on June 20. A trial date was set for September 19 should he deny the charge.
Mr Anderson was allegedly stabbed by Mr Azadbakht during a house party in Hotspur Road, Northolt , in the early hours of Saturday, March 12, after trying to break up a fight.
The 25-year-old died four days later in hospital from his injuries.
Mr Azadbakht was arrested on March 30 and was charged the following day with Mr Anderson's murder .
A 21-year-old was previously arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was bailed to a date in April.
Neighbours of Mr Anderson in Northolt paid tribute following his death to a man they described as "happy-go-lucky" and a "genuine geezer".
