Two west London men have been jailed after causing almost £200,000 of damage by daubing graffiti on property owned by a number train operating companies.

Come Rischmann, 24, of Framfield Road, Shepherd's Bush, and Sebastian Lucas, 22, of Costons Avenue, Greenford, were jailed on November 7 at Blackfriars Crown Court for 15 months, plus a further two weeks to be served consecutively. The pair had admitted a series of criminal damage offences at an earlier hearing in September.

They were brought to justice after a year long investigation by British Transport Police (BTP), which revealed Rischmann had conspired with others to commit criminal damage against train operating companies, mainly on the London Underground between March 2005 and March this year. Similarly, Lucas conspired with others to commit criminal damage against train operating companies between February 2008 and March 2014.

Jointly Rischmann and Lucas committed £184,976 worth of criminal damage.

PC Laurence Cooper said: "This sentence sends a clear message that criminal damage will not be tolerated by BTP or the train operating companies. A lot of damage was caused by these two over a number of years resulting in hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of costs to clear up the graffiti. The restrictions placed on the pair should assist in keeping them from re-offending when they are released from prison."

Rischmann and Lucas were made subject to a Criminal Behaviour Order, which, upon their release, prohibits them from entering any depot, siding or other part of any railway operators property which is not open to the public throughout England and Wales.

They are also prohibited from carrying any paint in any form of container, any form of grinding stone, glass cutting equipment, glass etching solutions or paste between 10pm and 6am in any public place throughout England or Wales for a period of five years.
