Patients can make an appointment with their doctors and nurses from 6.30pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 8am to 8pm on both Saturday and Sundays.
The new hours are in addition to existing GP services, meaning that residents can now pre-book GP and nurse appointments from 8amt o 8pm seven days a week, including bank holidays.
Any patient registered with a Westminster GP can access these new appointments, which can be booked at the local practice or by calling NHS 111 when your GP is closed.
The Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) claimed the new offering will improve GP services, as well as improve patient experience and reduce avoidable A&E visits and unscheduled hospital admissions
Neville Purssell, chairman of the CCG, said: “Our aim is to make GP services quicker, safer and accessible to all.
"Especially for parents, carers and people with work commitments.
"We are really pleased to announce that patients will now benefit from more accessible GP services.
“Previously, patients have told us that they were concerned about the lack of access to GP and nurse appointments.
"Offering evening and weekend appointments helps to tackle this issue.”
