A thug lobbed glass bottles at a man's head in what police have described as a "racially-motivated attack".

A 27-year-old man was walking with friends along the High Street, in Feltham, by The Moon on the Square pub, when a man shouted racist abuse at him, after which the victim challenged the remark, police said.

The suspect then threw three bottles of lager, one which hit the victim's head and another which hit his hip.

The incident happened on Wednesday May 20 at around 9.45pm.

Police are appealing for the public's help to track down the suspect who was seen fleeing towards McDonald's.

The suspect has been described as a white man and was wearing a cream jumper.

The injured man was treated in hospital for swelling to his head and lip and has since made a full recovery.

Officers from Hounslow's Community Safety Unit (CSU) are investigating.
