Parliamentary candidates for Ealing North are set to battle it out in a bid to try win over voters.

Greenford Baptist Church, in Beechwood Avenue, is hosting the event because they want to see as many people as possible engaged in the election process, debating issues and asking questions on April 22 at 7.30pm.

As a church, they see engagement with the political process as a responsibility. A representative said: "The Christian message has justice, hope and community at its heart, and being involved in local decision making is therefore extremely important. The hustings is open to all, and we are encouraging people to submit questions beforehand."

The candidates are: Steve Pound (Labour), Thomas O’Malley (Conservative), Kevin McNamara (Liberal Democrat), Meena Hans (Green), and Afzal Akram (UKIP).

For more information or to submit a question email andy.robertson@gbc.org.uk no later than April 20.
