Nick Hurd has been serving as an MP since 2005, winning the 2015 election for Ruislip , Northwood and Pinner by a sizeable majority of 20,224.
The Minister for Climate Change and Industry secured almost three times as many votes as his closest rival in 2015, Labour's Michael Borio and is the fourth generation of his family to serve as an MP in the Commons.

The seat, and the Ruislip-Norwood constituency from which it was created, has always been held by the Conservative party since 1950.
Polling stations will open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday Jun 8, with the result expected to be announced in the early hours of Friday (June 9) morning.
