Voters in west London who want to keep up to date with all the General Election news and results as it comes in should look no further than getwestlondon.

With some of the country's most marginal constituencies in our patch, take a front row seat to see who wins each electoral battleground.

We're covering 22 different constituencies in the area, with results first expected from Putney, Ealing Central and Acton, Cities of London & Westminster, Brent Central, Chelsea and Fulham, Ealing North, Ealing Southall, Hammersmith, Kensington and Westminster North.

These will no doubt be closely followed by Brent North, Brentford and Isleworth, Feltham and Heston, Hampstead and Kilburn, Harrow West, Hayes and Harlington, Hendon, Richmond Park, Twickenham, Uxbridge and South Ruislip, Harrow East and Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner.

Our General Election coverage has of course already begun - and perhaps most importantly, you'll want to know where your polling station is for when you go and cast your vote on Thursday (June 8).

And on which note - why do we always vote on a Thursday?

Which constituency am I in?

Our 'Find My Seat' gadget has helpful information about all constituencies, you can find out more about how to use it here.

But besides knowing your constituency and the candidates who are standing in it, there are many more things to ask, such as "why do we use pencils at polling stations?"

You can also find out how to get a free beer if you vote , and how to get a free or half price ride to a polling station.

What happens when the polls close?

Once the clock ticks past 10pm on Thursday - and as the BBC, ITV and Sky reveal the results of their exit poll - the getwestlondon team will swing into action with our extensive overnight coverage.

Our live blog will include updates from all the west London counts - we'll have reporters burning the midnight oil at some locations, and we'll get others through the wire and bring them direct to you.

We'll have a General Election totaliser providing a live view of the national picture as the parties race to reach the number of seats needed for a parliamentary majority.

And our live results map will also make for interesting viewing as it fills up with blue, red, yellow, green, purple and grey colours.

The coverage won't end once the General Election result has been declared either.

You can expect video interviews from some of the winning (and losing) candidates, as we grill the new MPs on what their priorities will be over the next five years.

And we'll bring you details on voter turnout - will the country respond to Prime Minister Theresa May calling this "the most important election the country has faced" in her lifetime?

We'll also be studying your reaction. What will London be saying when we wake up to the results? And what does it all mean for the city's residents, workers and students?

While you're keeping up with all the events, why not also test yourself on our Big General Election History Quiz.
