The problems have been reported by at the airport along with France, USA, South Africa and Singapore destinations.

Computer "crash" is an airline issue, Gatwick spokesperson explained

A Gatwick Airport spokesperson said:

This is an airline issue, not an airport issue. This isn’t a Gatwick software, it’s hit a few arlines’ check-in systems which were down.

They added:

They could not check in passengers.

Gatwick Airport confirm issue resolved, spokesman confirms

A Gatwick Airport spokesman has confirmed an IT system called Altea software, used by “a few airlines” went down briefly this morning.

They declined to comment which airlines were affected.
