Four men who abducted a man in a busy town centre before violently assaulting him at an address in Hanworth have been jailed.

Haris Khan, Chayce Greene, Courtnie Greene - all from Hounslow - and Brendan Makumbi were sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday (June 26) for a total of 54 years.

The court heard how their victim was punched, whipped, stripped and burnt with a cigarette lighter, after he was bundled into a car in Kingston Town Centre on the afternoon of October 14.

Haris Khan, who was driving the car which carried the victim away, was handed a 15 year sentence

He had been targeted by the gang, who knew him, and forced into Khan’s car after being accosted by brothers Chayce and Courtnie, and Makumbi.

Once inside the car, Khan, 22 and from St Stephens Road, Hounslow, punched the victim twice before driving the group to a garage on the Butts Farm Estate in Hanworth . The victim was forced out of the car and told to strip.

Khan then took his belt and started to beat the victim, aged 18 at the time, while 21-year-old while Makumbi, of no fixed abode, hit him with a stick.

Teenager Chayce Greene was jailed for 11 years

The assault, which saw the victim also burnt by a lighters, lasted around 10 minutes and was filmed by the gang.

The violence only ceased when a car drove past the garage, with Khan ordering the victim to get dressed before the group drove to another address in Hanworth.

Once there, the victim managed to get away from the group and, fearing for his safety, fled the area and London before subsequently contacted police.

Courtnie Greene was given a 15 year sentence

Khan was handed a 15-year sentence, as was 22-year-old Courtnie Greene, from Evans Grove, Feltham .

His 19-year-old brother Chayce, from the same road, was given a 11-year jail term, while Makumbi received 13 years.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Hunter of Hounslow CID oversaw the investigation. He said: “This was a calculated and violent crime and I am pleased that lengthy sentences have been handed down by the court.

Brendan Makumbi, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 13 years in prison

“This means four violent criminals are no longer on the streets of Hounslow borough. I would also like to praise the victim for his bravery in coming to place and supporting this investigation.

“Khan, Makumbi and Chayce and Courtnie Green were convicted due to the compelling evidence gathered by investigating officer DC Jim Coleman - it is his hard work that has resulted in this positive outcome.”
