Tributes continue to pour in following the death of 22-year-old James Owusu-Ajyekum in Harlesden on Wednesday November 2.

Armed officers and paramedics were called to Tynsdale Road at around 10.45pm after reports of a shooting in Brent .

The 22-year-old was found with gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene in Harlesden .

A fundraising page has now been set up to help the family and the community to "lay him to rest."

"James aka DJ Skills was taken from us by the bullet of a gun, he was gunned down so innocently on his door step," the GoFundMe page states.

"James was working, studying and even had a part time job as a DJ. Something he had a passion for and pursued his dream.

"He had no interest being involved in anything else that wouldn't make his family proud.

"It's not fair that this grief is bought onto his family.

"Although we cannot bring James back we can help as a community to lay him to rest.

"Help to ease the burden for his parents who should not have to bury their only child.

"If James' story has touched you please help. God Bless you."

London Ambulance Service were called to the scene at around 10.40pm

The page, which has a target of £4,000, currently has more than £2,500 in donations.

On social media, those who knew him have been paying their respects and raising awareness of the fundraising page.

Following a post-mortem examination on Friday, November 4, the cause of death was determined as gunshot wounds.

No arrests have yet been made and police say enquiries continue.
