A fund raising page has been set up for the family of an 11-year-old boy who was knocked down and killed by a car in Hounslow .

Aaron Singh Matharu died in hospital at around 6.57pm after a collision with a car in Bath Road, Cranford, on September 30 shortly before.

Now a fund raising page, set up by Preeta Sidhu, is aiming to raise money for the boy's family.

A message on the page says: "Aaron was everyone’s friend; all the shopkeepers knew him, and he was a popular kid.

"He was never naughty, he never did silly things, and he was always so sensible. He was a kind and gentle soul.

"He was so loving and warm and he was an absolute angel. He was too pure and too innocent for this world.

"Please donate, as little, or as much as you can, so that we can raise money in Aaron's memory, so that we may help his family, in whichever way we can."

So far the page has raised £740.

Following the tragic incident a special memorial assembly was held at Cranford Community College this week, followed by a two-minute silence across the academy, where Aaron attended.

Students and staff have also been offered in-house counselling support, while a book of condolences filled with heartfelt messages is being collated and will be given to the family.

In addition the school is making plans for a flower bed to be planted in its memorial garden by the youngster's friends and year group.
