A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing in Fulham today (January 5).

Metropolitan Police was called to the Harwood Road junction with New King's Road at 1.05pm to a stabbing.

A man in his 40s was taken to a central London hospital with serious injuries and a crime scene is in place.

No arrests have been made and police remain on the scene.

The victim suffered stab wounds but they are not believed to be life threatening.

Suspect 'fled the scene' and remains on the loose

According to Met police, the suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived.

There have been no arrests so far and the suspect remains “outstanding”.

Comment from London Ambulance Service

getwestlondon has just received this statement from the ambulance service.

A spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.03pm today to reports of a stabbing at Harwood Road, SW6.

“We sent an ambulance crew and an advanced paramedic to the scene. The first of our medics arrived at the scene in under eight minutes.

“We treated a man at the scene and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre.”

Police have cordoned off the area at the end of New King’s Road at the Harwood Road junction.

There are around 15 police officers on scene, who were seen knocking on doors in the area.
