A German pub is challenging its diners to finish a monstrous meal and earn a prestigious spot on its Wall of Fame this Christmas.

The Octoberfest pub in Fulham wants to stretch Londoners’ tummies to the limit by challenging them to take on the Lumberjack’s Double Knuckle Eating Challenge.

It is described as a must for all those fans of German food who have a genuine love of pork knuckles .

The challenge is notoriously difficult to complete and so the pub, in Fulham Road, is hoping it will be a hit with the office Christmas party.

Described as only suitable for those with the appetite of a Bavarian lumberjack, the meal includes two knuckles slow roasted, served on a bed of chips with a side of salad and sauerkraut, and a stein of their finest Löwenbräu lager.

Not only do you have to polish off the food, you have to do so in double-quick time, with a 45-minute limit set for a successful challenge.
