A woman was pushed to the ground and robbed of her backpack at knifepoint in a late-night attack in Fulham .

Two women had just left a house in Napier Avenue when five men on bicycles appeared, Metropolitan Police said on Friday (December 15).

Two of them demanded that the women hand over their backpacks, but they refused.

One of the victims was then pushed to the ground and threatened with a knife, in the residential road near Putney Bridge station at around 1.30am on October 29.

The men made off with both bags which contained purses, bank cards, cash, mobile phones and other personal belongings.

Later that day, police say they used the stolen bank cards in a number of newsagents and food shops in the Fulham Broadway and Portobello Road areas using contactless payments.

CCTV pictures from Cash Counts newsagent in Fulham Broadway show what police believe to be two suspects, making contactless transactions at 9am.
