A man emerged from a car with no injuries after it overturned and crashed into a traffic light pole in Fulham .

Police were called to North End Road after the silver hatchback flipped and careered into a pedestrian crossing pole just before 11.30am on Thursday (November 16).

The road was closed at the junction with Dawes Road while police cleared the vehicle and was reopened at around 2pm.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told getwestlondon that the man was tended to by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

Police closed the road while the vehicle was cleared and it later reopened to traffic at around 2pm

The spokesman said that he was "walking wounded" despite the dramatic nature of the crash.

Police believe that only one car was involved in the collision.
