Fulham Broadway station, one stop away from Parsons Green , was evacuated on Saturday (September 16) due to a security alert at a nearby cinema.
At 2.15pm, police closed the station after being called to reports of something suspicious at Vue cinema, based inside the shopping complex attached to the station.
Trains were running while police investigated but were not stopping at Fulham Broadway.
Parson Green Terrorist incident
Officers investigated but found “nothing suspicious” in the cinema and, as a result, reopened the west London Underground station at around 5pm.
A spokesman for Hammersmith and Fulham MPS said: “Cinema and station expected to reopen shortly following security alert.”
“Not deemed suspicious. Thanks for your patience,” they added.
The security alert and evacuation on Saturday (September 16) comes just one day after 29 people were injured in the rush-hour terror attack on a packed District Line train.
Parsons Green station was evacuated after the incident at 8.20am, which the Metropolitan Police is treating as a terrorist incident.
An 18-year-old man was arrested in Dover, Kent, under section 41 of the Terrorism Act in connection with the incident.
Police evacuated homes in Sunbury on Saturday (September 16) and put in place a 100-metre cordon while officers searched a nearby property in connection with the Parsons Green attack.
