A quirky French group rang out 2015 in style to bring down the curtain on a year of free arts in Hounslow's Bell Square.

Fanfare le SNOB's mixture of music and theatrical mayhem was a fitting finale to an eclectic 12 months of performances on the open-air stage at the western end of Hounslow High Street.

Gliding around outside The Bell pub in their distinctive traffic cone outfits, amid billowing smoke, they made sweet harmonies with an array of weird and wonderful instruments.

The unique act provided a welcome distraction for frazzled Christmas shoppers buying last-minute gifts on Saturday (December 19) afternoon.

Aerial acrobatics, a winter lights display, a cardboard reconstruction of the Kew Bridge water tower , and colourful Holi-inspired celebrations are just some of the shows to have graced the arena this year.

There will now be a break in the fortnightly programme of events, curated by Watermans arts centre, until a new season of shows gets underway in spring 2016.
