Police have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection to the death of Abdulhadi Arwani in Wembley.

The arrest was made on Friday (April 17) under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE), and the man was bailed on Sunday (April 19) to a date in early May.

A 61-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (April 14) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE); and further arrested on Wednesday (April 15) on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act (TACT).

A 53-year-old woman was arrested in Brent on the evening of Wednesday (April 15) on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act (TACT).

Warrants of further detention were granted at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday (April 16) in relation to both the TACT arrests. Both arrested under this act remain in custody at a south London police station.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Service's Counter Terrorism Command continue to investigate the murder which took place on April 7.

A 36-year-old man appeared at the Old Bailey on Thursday (April 16) charged with the murder of Mr Arwani in Greenhill.

He was remanded in custody to re-appear at the court on April 28.
