A former RAF home in Uxbridge has been badly damaged by a blaze that destroyed the whole of the first floor and roof.

On Friday, September 18, four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a derelict house fire on Jackson Close in Uxbridge.

According to a London Fire Brigade spokesman, the whole of the first floor and the roof was gutted by fire and half of the ground floor was also damaged by the blaze.

The Brigade was called at 11.20pm and the fire was under control by 12.40am.

Fire crews from Hillingdon, Hayes and Ruislip fire stations were at the scene and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
