A number of roads in west London are subject to roadworks and closures next week so road users are being advised to double check their route before heading out.

Work continues on Fulham Road between Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens until September 30 and a Chelsea FC football match is also expected to cause delays on the roads in Fulham.

Below is a list of some of the road closures and roadworks which could affect your commute to work.

Hounslow/Uxbridge

The eastbound link roads to the M25 from the M4 at junction 4b will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am for two nights from Monday (September 18).

It is to facilitate safety work carrying out inspections and replacing traffic flow sensors.

The westbound link road to the M25 anti-clockwise will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Saturday (September 23).

Diversions will be in place.

Fulham

Fulham Road will be closed between Harwood Road and Finborough Road on Wednesday (September 20) due to a football match between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm and a large number of pedestrians are expected in the area, with traffic disruption expected in the area both before and after the match.

Heathrow

According to Highways England, the anti-clockwise exit slip road of junction 14 of the M25 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Saturday (September 23) to facilitate safety work.

Traffic will be diverted via junction 13 and return.

Kensington and Chelsea

Fulham Road is closed in both directions between the A3220 Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens and westbound at the junction of Beaufort Street for on-going National Grid gas main replacement works.

Closures will be in place until September 30 and two way temporary signals are in place at the junction with Elm Park Gardens.

Maida Vale

Transport for London (TfL) is warning of possible delays on the B414 Elgin Avenue northbound between Harrow Road and Chippenham Road until October 13.

Lane restrictions are in place due to carriageway repair works and there is no access to Elgin Avenue from Harrow Road.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until October 5.

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway, which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.
