Five people, including three children, have escaped a house fire which was caused by burning incense.

An investigation by the London Fire Brigade (LFB) into the blaze revealed the cause of the fire as accidental after incense dropped onto flammable items.

The trio of children and two adults left the mid-terraced house before firefighters arrived at the scene in Hounslow on Friday (May 12) night.

Around 20 firefighters and officers and four fire engines put out the flames at the home in Orchard Road in Hounslow.

Part of the first floor and part of the roof of the property were damaged by the fire.
