Firefighters tackled a blaze at a disused sports centre in Harrow on Tuesday morning (October 13).

Part of the two-storey building, in Headstone Drive, caught light and London Fire Brigade were called at 7.50am to tackle the blaze.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers rushed to the scene.

The Brigade tweeted just over two hours after the call to say the fire was now under control.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
