A large fire has broken out at a house converted into flats in Harrow .

Four engines and 21 firefighters were at Alexandra Close after emergency crews were called shortly after 2.50pm on Friday (November 18).

Part of the building’s first floor and roof were currently alight, with flames brought under control at 4.06pm.

London Fire Brigade say no one was injured and that nearby properties were not evacuated.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.

Earlier the same day, London Fire Brigade revealed a woman died following a fire at her home in Kensal Rise .

The blaze broke out at the property in Okehampton Road on Wednesday (November 16) morning, and the woman died in hospital the following day (Thursday).

Firefighters were called to the scene at 9.48am, and found London Ambulance Service paramedics treating the resident outside the building.

Fire engines from North Kensington and Willesden were at the scene.

The fire was said to be out at 10.25am.

Firefighters said no one else was hurt in the incident, and no properties were evacuated.
