Firefighters cut a car driver free after a collision involving a lorry on the Greenford roundabout on Wednesday (October 14) morning.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) and Met Police were called at around 8.15am to the A40 (Western Avenue) roundabout following reports of a lorry and car in collision.

LFB crews worked to release the driver of the car who was trapped inside the vehicle.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) treated the person at the scene and a spokesman said the casualty had been taken to hospital.

Road closures which were put in place have now been lifted, but heavy traffic remains in place from Greenford to Hillingdon Circus due to other road users slowing down near the accident scene.
