More than 20 firefighters battled a blaze at a pub in Hounslow on Wednesday morning (March 25).

The fire broke out at the Bulstrode, in Lampton Road, near Hounslow Central tube station, shortly before 11am.

The London Fire Brigade said, in a statement, it was called at 10.57am and sent four fire engines, with a total of 21 crew members, who had the blaze under control by 11.55am.

The brigade added that a small part of the pub's basement had been damaged but there were no reports of any injuries.

It said the cause of the fire was not known at this stage.
