Fire crews have tackled a blaze at home in Chelsea .

Four fire engines were called to the scene to bring the flames under control earlier this afternoon (Thursday October 27).

Part of the first floor was alight, but the emergency service did not report any injuries.

Crews from Chelsea, Kensington, Fulham and Battersea attended, and were called at around 1pm to the address in Chelsea Square.

London Fire Brigade reported today that the body of a pensioner was discovered following an incident at a high rise tower block in Brentford.

Firefighters were also on hand when flames broke out at a property in Chiswick.

A woman was taken to hospital from the scene in an ambulance.

Her condition is not known.

An investigation is under way to establish the cause of the Chelsea fire.
