A fire broke out at a block of flats under construction in Wembley on Tuesday (March 28).

Six fire engines and 35 fire fighters were called to the block on Fulton Road at 12.56pm.

Part of the concrete roof was damaged by fire.

Fire crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Stanmore, Harrow and Willesden fire stations attended the scene and had the flames under control by 1.40pm.

The watch manager at Wembley later said the fire was on the 20th floor of the building.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
