London's Air Ambulance have released figures detailing how crucial a second helicopter would be for west London, asking residents for their support.

The infographics reveal how many patients have been treated by the charity in each borough for the first six months of 2015.

Westminster saw the highest amount of patients treated, with 43, while Kensington & Chelsea saw 10 patients treated in the first six months of this year.

The charity also highlighted the flight times and one place that the charity can land in each borough.

It takes seven minutes for the helicopter to get from the helipad, in Whitechapel, to Hillingdon, the longest time of any borough.

Westminster, meanwhile, saw the shortest flight time at just one minute.

A staggering £678,600 could be raised for the second helicopter appeal if everyone in Ealing donated the cost of a coffee.

In its largest ever fundraising drive, the ‘Your London, Your Helicopter’ campaign is hoping to raise £6m, of which just under £2m is still needed, to acquire and sustain a second helicopter and extend its day-light flying hours for five years.

The charity is calling on people to make a donation at yourhelicopter.london and then ask their friends, families and colleagues to do the same on social media.

West London kids recently had the opportunity to help name the potential second helicopter.
