Has a historic shop in Uxbridge town centre been temporarily been transformed into the set of a period film or TV show?
On Thursday evening (October 27) a huge black canopy was erected in Vine Street and lighting equipment was put up in front of Randalls department store, which closed down in January last year .
Staff in high-visibility jackets were stood outside the store, and boxes of what appeared to be sound equipment were lined along the shop front.
Inside the store a group of men were spotted in period costumes possibly from the 1920s.
Wearing darks suits and trilby hats, the men stood in the shop window with the high-powered lighting glaring through to the interior.
It is not clear what is being filmed, but getwestlondon is investigating.
