A female police officer was kicked in the face and a male officer bitten at a hospital in Hammersmith on Friday (March 31).

The two officers were spat at with saliva going in the pair's eyes and mouths at Charing Cross Hospital, police said.

The female officer was kicked in the face, causing her nose to bleed and bruising to her cheek.

Officers said a male officer was also kicked in the face and was bitten on his hand.

Both officers received treatment and medication for their injuries.

  • Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham Metropolitan Police Service say a 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
