A man has been handed supervision and rehabilitation requirements after pleading guilty to theft and possession of a Class B drug.

Fabio Gouvea, 31, of Queens Park Gardens, in Feltham, was told he must undergo a 12-month supervision requirement, six-month drug rehabilitation requirement, 100 hours unpaid work, and pay total costs of £100 to the courts, when he was sentenced at Feltham Magistrates' Court on Thursday (February 19).

The court heard Gouvea stole a rucksack containing a laptop, which his lawyer said was "opportunistic" as it had been left on a train, and was found in possession of cannabis on November 10 last year.

He pleaded guilty to both charges on January 5 and was sentenced this week.
