A pub landlord is organising an EU debate to help people decide which way to vote in the upcoming referendum .

Aengus O’Malley is hosting the public event from 150 people on June 3, 20 days before the country goes to the polls to decide whether Britain should leave the EU or not.

Mr O’Malley, who runs The Phoenix in Davenrty Street, Marylebone , is looking to have an equal mix of people in Remain and Leave camps, and those who are undecided.

He said: “I’m doing this because I realised how many people have never voted or are completely disengaged from the process.

“I’m hoping this is the first of many debates, and I want to do one at the end of the year on Heathrow.”

The debate is being held at nearby St Paul’s Church in Rossmore Road.

The event is ticket only. To apply or for more information email Mr O’Malley on aengusomalley@gmail.com or call 07515 170505.

Chelsea and Fulham MP Greg hands has warned leaving the EU could cost 100,000 jobs and harm the NHS . Meanwhile, Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP Boris Johnson has been vocal in his support of a Brexit .
