They will be bidding win the seats being vacated by Kensington MP Victoria Borwick, and Joanna Gardner , who are both Conservative and represent the Abingdon ward.

Cllr Gardner has served since 1998, while Lady Borwick, also a Greater London Assemby (GLA) member, was first elected in 2002. She became MP following the surprise resignation of Sir Malcolm Rifkind, after he was caught up in cash-for-access claims .
When she was announced as the Conservative candidate for the General Election Lady Borwick said she would have to consider standing again as a ward councillor, and also stated her intentions to step down as a GLA member if elected MP.
Polling takes place between 7am and 10pm, with the results expected on May 6.
