An elderly man left critically injured after a collision in Kenton last week has died.

Metropolitan police were called to reports on a man unconscious in Sedgecombe Avenue on February 28.

It was established his injuries were due to a road traffic collision.

The 88-year-old was taken to hospital by London Air Ambulance, where he died on Friday (March 3).

A post-examination will be held in due course.

Officers from the Met's roads and transport police command are investigating and are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who assisted the injured man afterwards.

The driver of a vehicle involved in the collision was spoken to at the scene. There has been no arrest.
