Eggheads defeated by Ruislip primary school teachers - can you answer the questions?

The team who compete regularly at their local pub in Eastcote won a jackpot of £22,000 on the show

A team of primary school teachers from Ruislip beat the BBC's master quiz team the Eggheads to win £22,000.

The teachers from Deanesfield Primary School formed local pub quiz team All Saints and are regular contenders at their local pub, The Ascott in Eastcote, quizzing there together every Wednesday.

The team defeated a team of expert quiz masters on the long-running BBC Two show, broadcast on Thursday (September 21).

Year 6 teacher Billy, Year 2 teacher Holly, Year 3 teacher Lucia, teaching assistant Julie and Year 5 teacher Joe went up against what is dubbed "possibly the greatest quiz team in Britain".

The achievement was all the more impressive given that the Eggheads team had been undefeated for the last 21 episodes of the gameshow, now in Season 19.

Deanesfield Primary School operations manager Sara Tailor told getwestlondon :" We are extremely proud that a team of staff members here at Deanesfield Primary school defeated the quizmasters on the BBC program ‘Eggheads’.

"Their accomplishment is made even greater as the Eggheads were undefeated for 21 episodes prior to our staff taking part!"
