A primary school in Feltham has raced to the top of the 2015 SATs performance table.

Pupils in Year 6 at Edward Pauling Primary School on Redford Close, Feltham, proved to be among the best achievers in reading, writing and maths with 100% of its 11-year-olds reaching or exceeding the government’s benchmark level 4 in all three areas at Key Stage 2.

The league table also revealed the school had the highest value added score (104.4) meaning its pupils aged between 7 to 11 progressed better than expected.

The recent results add to the school’s growing success, with its latest Ofsted inspection carried out in December 2014 and published in January this year revealing an outstanding status.

The table which shows the performance of 11-year-olds across the country were published by the Department for Education on Thursday December 10.

Headteacher Mrs Shazia Akram, said: “We are all very proud of our achievements.

“I want to congratulate Team Edward Pauling for their excellent hard work, dedication and commitment to securing exceptional outcomes for all our pupils.

“We Love School!”

The only other west London borough to make the top 10 was Hounslow in ninth place, achieving 86%.

Schools minister Nick Gibb said: “As part of this government’s commitment to extending opportunity for all, it is essential that every child leaves primary school having mastered the basics in reading, writing and maths - thanks to our education reforms thousands more pupils each year are reaching those standards.
