Emergency services are in Paddington after a car is believed to have struck a building.

One lane is closed and traffic is queuing due to the incident in A5 Edgware Road at around 6.50pm on Thursday evening (December 7).

The collision took place at the A5 Edgware Road northbound, at Upper Berkeley Street and Connaught Street - which had no access after the incident.

Police and ambulance vehicles are currently at the scene.

No arrests have been made

Police have confirmed that the driver of the car stopped at the scene.

There are yet to be any arrests made.

Two people have been taken to hospital

Police confirmed they were called shortly after 6pm on Thursday (December 7) to reports of a car in collision with a shop-front in Edgware Road.

A spokesman for the force said:

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the location.


“Two pedestrians have been taken to hospital.


“We await further details and an update as to their conditions.”

Edgware Road re-opens - neighbouring street remains shut

Edgware Road has re-opened but Connaught Street remains closed after the collision.

Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called shortly after 6pm to reports of a “car in collision with a shop window” in Edgware Road.

It is not deemed to be terror related.
