A man has been taken to hospital after a collision which led to a van flipping over in Edgware High Street.

Pictures from the scene show the crumpled white van turned over on its side after the incident on Tuesday (August 22) morning.

A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, has been taken to a central London hospital after the crash.

Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Harrow police attended the collision in High Street, Edgware

A London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesperson said: "We sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a single responder in a car to the scene.

"We treated a man at the scene for a chest injury and he was taken as a priority to a major trauma centre."

Metropolitan Police confirmed it was called at 10.22am to reports of a road traffic collision in High Street, Edgware.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended and found an overturned van.

"No arrests have been made.

"Road closures are in place."

Edgware High Street was re-opened within hours after the collision, but Harrow Police tweeted that Whitchurch Lane "remains closed for the foreseeable future" at 11.45am.
