Seriously ill children got an early visit from the Easter bunny, courtesy of a west London firm.

Youngsters at the Shooting Star Chase children's hospice in Hampton were given 50 chocolate eggs by staff at Rudridge's Brentford branch, in Transport Avenue.

Branch manager Anthony Betteridge said: "Shooting Star Chase is an amazing charity that provides vital care to the local community. We are very proud to be supporting such a great cause and we hope that our donation helps to give the children and their families a lovely Easter."

The hospice provides care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Sylvia La Porte, corporate relationship manager at Shooting Star Chase, said: "Easter is a special time for all families, including the families we care for of course.

"Thanks to our lovely supporters like Rudridge the children will receive an extra treat this Easter, which will help to put a smile on their faces."

Rudridge supplies materials for the civil engineering, groundwork and drainage industries.
