A woman in her 60s has died after her car collided with a tree in Eastcote .

Police were called to Catlins Lane, Eastcote at around 2.38pm on Monday (September 18) to reports of the crash .

London Air Ambulance, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service all attended the scene, but despite the paramedics' best efforts the woman died at the scene.

Police are in the process of informing her next of kin.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the woman was aged in her 60s.

The crash happened at the junction between Catlins Lane and Chamberlain Way.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service told getwestlondon: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a single responder in a car and our Hazardous Area Response Team.

"We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"Despite extensive efforts to resuscitate them, sadly the patient died at the scene."

Roads in the area remained closed and police warned motorists to avoid the area.
