A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a lorry in Earl's Court on Wednesday afternoon (October 20).

Warwick Road was closed following the incident, in which police believe the pedestrian could have been involved in a secondary collision with a van.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police said: "We were called at 2.24pm to reports of a pedestrian in collision with a lorry and we think there was a secondary collision with a van.

"She’s 73, she has been taken to hospital, not life-threatening or life-changing injuries."

Motorists are being warned of delays on surrounding roads with queues on the A3212 Grosvenor Road going back to Chelsea Bridge.

According to Transport for London all roads have now reopened, posting on Twitter at 5.07pm they warned queues would take some time to clear.

The tweet reads: "All lanes have reopened on Warwick Rd N/B at Old Brompton Rd following the earlier collision, Qs will take some time to clear in the area."

No arrests have been made and enquiries into the incident continue.
