A huge drugs den has been shut down and sealed off by police in Hounslow.

The alarming image shows a large number of cannabis plants being grown in a home not far from Hounslow East station.

Police made a house call to the property in The Drive, Hounslow, where the cannabis factory was discovered.

The big bust comes after a concerned member of the public made a report to the police.

As a result of the report police said they have arrested six people.

@MPSHounslowTnC posted a message on Twitter on Wednesday (September 20).

The tweet read: "Following a report, Police called to house in The Drive, Hounslow.

Cannabis factory closed down in The Drive, Hounslow

"Cannabis factory located at address and six persons arrested."

The class C drug is also known as marijuana.

Possession can carry up to two years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.

Supply and production can carry up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.
