Major changes made to the driving test have now come into force .

Now, to honour the occasion, we’re putting readers to the test to see how much of their theory they still remember.

The video above features 10 questions you could be asked when sitting your theory test.

In the real exam, entrants must answer at least 43 questions out of 50 - that’s 86%.

If you want to achieve higher than that in our video test, you’ll need to answer a minimum of nine questions correctly (90%).

The questions are all multiple choice and range from “what is the safest way to turn your vehicle around in a busy street” to “what colour are the reflective studs between a motorway and its slip road”.

The practical test has been changed to make it a more realistic assessment of learners’ driving ability.

Learners will also have to answer a vehicle safety question while driving, for example telling the examiner how they would wash the windscreen using the car’s controls and wipers.

But do you have what it takes to pass the theory test?

Here’s your chance. Let us know how you get on and see if your friends can beat your score.

A major shake-up of the driving test came into force on December 4.
