Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a car crash at Northwick Park Hospital roundabout that resulted in a man being sent to hospital in a critical condition.

The incident occurred at 4.55am this morning when a black Volkswagen Golf containing four passengers collided with a wall on Northwick Park Hospital roundabout in Harrow .

Members of the public helped to pull the four occupants out of the vehicle before it burst into flames and was completely destroyed.

A 29-year-old man was taken to a west London hospital with neck and head injuries and remains in a serious condition, while another 27-year-old man was also taken to a west London hospital with internal injuries but remains in a stable condition.

Two other men, aged 29 and 22, were taken to a north London hospital and were treated for minor injuries.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward and particularly interested in hearing from a man who was filming the scene on his phone just after the crash.
