A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after allegedly crashing a family member's car into an ambulance in Harrow.

Police attended the crash scene in Rayners Lane at around midnight on Tuesday (August 22) but the driver had allegedly fled.

A white Nissan Juke had collided with a parked NHS patient transport service ambulance, and another parked car, in Rayners Lane, near Tithe Farm Sports Club.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, aggravated taking and driving away (TDA), driving without insurance, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and other driving offences.

Police confirmed the Nissan Juke is owned by a female family member of the arrested man.
