This image shows the destruction caused to a home following a suspected gas explosion in Harlesden .

It happened on Wednesday (April 19) at Tubbs Road and left an elderly man injured.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) has tweeted the image, showing the wall blown out and interior roof collapsed.

Fire crews believe it was caused when a cooker, which had accidentally been left on all day, was lit.

LFB say an older man was taken to hospital by paramedics, but London Ambulance Service (LAS) told getwestlondon it was unable to provide any information on his condition.

The brigade was called to the scene at 2.38pm, putting out a small fire in the kitchen and ventilating the property.

Firefighters from Park Royal, Acton and Hammersmith attended and left the scene at 3.48pm.
