A photographer has taken these stunning images during the flash floods and storms which hit west London on Wednesday (June 8).

Ed Attwell’s photos captured dramatic lightning bolts over West Drayton while the heavens opened.

The images come after large areas were affected by the extreme weather and heavy rain. North Harrow Station was forced to close because of flooding and heavy rain, while buses and public transport experiencing delays and diversions in areas including Ruislip, Wembley, and Eastcote.

Public transport was severely disrupted by the storms which hit west London on Wednesday (June 8)

The flooding came after t he Met Office issued severe weather warnings for the west London area for Wednesday (June 8) afternoon.

The good news for today (Thursday) is that we can leave our brollies at home as no rain is currently forecast for London, with temperatures hitting a peak of 22c.
